Echo Valley Railroad Guild

The Echo Valley Railroad Guild has arranged for the Regina Railfest model railroad shows for a number of years. These shows have been held at the Caledonian Curling Club on the same weekend of each calendar year. They have provided a good means for all to share in the hobby.

For 2026, the organizers of  Supertrain, based in Calgary, revised their 2026 show timing, and selected exactly the same weekend as Railfest had previously selected to hold their annual model railroad show. Their actions have placed holding of our annual Railfest in jeopardy. Model railroad clubs and vendors now have to select which show they will attend, and this has been to the significant detriment of the Railfest show.

The members of the Echo Valley Railroad Guild met recently to discuss the situation. It was decided that given less participation by some Saskatchewan hobby clubs as well as vendors, that it would not be possible to hold a model railroad show that would be up to display standards and expectations that the public attending would deserve.

The members of the Echo Valley regret to advise that Railfest 2026, which was to be held on April 25th and 26th, has been cancelled. 

We do anticipate resuming our Railfest at the Caledonian Curling Club the second last weekend of April 2027. Show dates April 24th & 25th, with set up on April 23rd.
